The Birth Base
Postpartum Prep Workshop
An opportunity to focus on calm & connection.

A Beautiful Base for Postpartum
We spend so much time preparing for labour and birth — but what about afterwards?
The fourth trimester can be beautiful, overwhelming, exhausting, emotional, messy and completely life-changing, all at once. We're given so much information about how to give birth, but hardly anyone tells you how to actually navigate those first weeks and months as a new mum. That's what this workshop is for.
A relaxed, honest, practical 2-hour session with me, designed to help you feel properly prepared for life after your baby arrives.
What I'll cover
🌿 The fourth trimester — what those first three months really look like, and why they can feel so intense physically, emotionally and mentally
🤍 Your postpartum body — honest talk about recovery, whatever kind of birth you have: bleeding, afterpains, pelvic floor, perineal healing, breast changes, feeding, caesarean recovery, and what's normal vs. when to seek help
🩷 Matrescence — becoming a mother is its own huge transition, and I'll help you understand why you might not feel quite like yourself for a while (and why that's okay)
🧠 Hormones, emotions & mental wellbeing — the emotional rollercoaster of those early days, and the difference between normal ups and downs and needing extra support
🥣 Rest, recovery & nourishment — practical ways to look after yourself, because that's part of looking after your baby too
🏡 Preparing your home — simple things you can do before baby arrives to make those first weeks easier
👨👩👧 Building your village — working out who's really in your support network, and how to ask for the help you need
🚪 Visitors & boundaries — protecting your postpartum bubble without the guilt
🍼 Feeding & newborn life — an honest, no-judgement conversation about the reality of life with a newborn
✨ Your postpartum plan — you'll leave with the start of your own personal plan for recovery, support and those first weeks
You'll leave with...
-
A realistic picture of what those first weeks might actually look and feel like
-
Practical tools for your physical and emotional recovery
-
A personalised postpartum plan to take home
-
A clearer idea of the support you'll need, and how to ask for it
-
Hopefully, a lot more confidence that you really can do this (because you totally can :))
