When’s the best time to start a hypnobirthing course?
There’s really no right or wrong time to start a course. It often depends on when you discover hypnobirthing, and what suits your schedule! I always recommend waiting until after your 12 week scan to book and start a course.
Some people like to my hypnobirthing course earlier on in pregnancy so they have plenty of time to practice the techniques, but it’s really never too late! ( I have even supported people on their maternity leave!). However, the majority of people tend to complete my course around the 20 week mark onwards.
How can I book a course?
All bookings must be made with me directly via email thebirthbase@gmail.com. For all group course bookings, a £50 non refundable deposit is required. The remaining course balance is due 72 hours before your first hypnobirthing class begins. I will send you all booking details and invoices via email, and ask that the course payment is made via bank transfer to The Birth Base Ltd. For all private 1:1 sessions, please email me for a quote and availability.
Can my birth partner attend the course?
Absolutely!! I would highly recommend your birth partner attends every single session.
My course prepares your birth partner how to advocate and confidently support you with your birth. This is really key because your birth partner has a big role to play, and has the honour of being there when your beautiful bundle of joy comes into the world! They really can make a massive difference to your birthing experience.

If they cannot make every session I can provide catch up materials, plus if you book a full hypnobirthing course with me, you will have access to the The Birth Uprising Digital Pack so you can catch up on topics covered in your own time.

Please note your birth partner does not have to be your romantic partner (if you have one) it could be, your best friend, your sibling, your mum, your dad - whoever is going to be there at your birth and support you. I have even had an amazing mother in law join my sessions! :)

What training have you completed?
I have trained with The Riot Birth Network who are a truly inclusive and incredible hypnobirthing school who share in my ethos that hypnobirthing is for ALL birthing people and ALL births are valid.

As part of my instructor training I have also attended the amazing The Queer Birth Club LGBT+ competency course. The course has given me a much greater understanding of how moving through maternity or perinatal services as an LGBT+ person can effect outcomes and experiences. I hope to create a safe and supportive space where everybody feels welcome.

I have also completed a birth trauma, Cultural Awarenessm VBAC Vaginal Birth After Caesarean, birth rights, mothers blessing, and starting solids courses. You can find all my qualifications on my about me section
How many people do you have per session?
Northampton in person courses have a maximum of 7 birth teams (i.e. birther & one birth partner).

Online masterclasses are capped at 10 birth teams.

These limited numbers allow us to get to know one another & have plenty of time to ask any questions you may have

On private 1:1 courses you and your birth partner(s) get me all to yourselves!
Where are your classes based?
My in person classes are based in a beautiful private home in Overstone, Northamptonshire. So, these antenatal hypnobirthing classes are perfect if you are local to Northampton, Kettering or Wellingborough. Market Harborough and Corby are also only 30 minutes away.
I’m not based in Northamptonshire, can I still join your classes?
Absolutely! I run private sessions so you can benefit from my hypnobirthing sessions no matter where you are located in the UK at your convenience - which may be even better for your circumstances or busy schedule.
What if I’m having a caesarean, will hypnobirthing still benefit me?
YES! Absolutely. Hypnobirthing is useful for all births. My courses will give you a toolbox of techniques to prepare and remain calm and in control during labour, birth and beyond. Feel free to drop me a line and we can chat more!

If you already know you are having an elective c-section, I recommend you book a two hour caesarean masterclass with me.
I have special circumstances, are you still able to support me?
Yes, please let me know of any special circumstances in advance of our sessions so I can prepare and support you to the best of my abilities.
