All About Me
Hello! I’m Kristina, my pronouns are she/her – I’m a hypnobirthing instructor & mother to Max, Northampton born & bred 👠, first class Leeds university graduate 👩🏼🎓, lover of kitchen dance parties 💃🏼 & a frozen piña colada 🍹.
I’m incredibly passionate about no nonsense birth education. I’m not going to tell you birth is ‘like shelling peas’, sorry/if only! 😆 But I am going to tell you that you were literally MADE to do this, and it can be an incredibly empowering and amazing experience by understanding the science, your birth rights & how hypnobirthing can have a profound effect on your birth and journey into parenthood 🙌🏻.
I fell in love with ‘hypnobirthing’ in November 2019 when I was expecting my first baby. From the very first session I knew I had become part of something amazing (my husband did too)!
I spent the rest of my pregnancy SO excited to give birth! I felt empowered, calm and confident. I planned to birth in the comfort of my own home and loved being under the care of the fantastic home birth team in Northampton.
Unfortunately, I was then blindsided (to say the least!) when the first peak of the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Heavily pregnant, life got turned upside down. My home birth was cancelled and I had to come to terms that I may have to birth in hospital, alone.
Had I not had the amazing support from my hypnobirthing community, I honestly don’t know what I would have done. Facing the strictest restrictions (and some last minute complications), I managed to navigate the birth of my baby boy feeling powerful and strong.
I believe that everyone deserves to know their birth rights, feel empowered, strong and in control of their birthing experience.
I created The Birth Base, so that I can help others achieve a positive, beautiful birth, and beyond.

I am proud to be trained by The Birth Uprising, a fully inclusive hypnobirthing community.
I have attended The Queer Birth Clubs LGBT+ competency course, which has given me a much greater understanding of how moving through the maternity or perinatal services as an LGBT+ person can effect outcomes and experiences.
I have also attended the Sunshine Doula's Culture Safety Awareness Workshop.
I will always strive to keep learning, do better and be an ally. I hope to create a safe and supportive space where everybody feels welcome.
